“Yoga, an ancient but perfect science, deals with the evolution of humanity. This evolution includes all aspects of one’s being, from bodily health to self-realization. Yoga means union – the union of body with consciousness and consciousness with the soul. Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions.”

~ B.K.S. Iyengar, Astadala Yogamala

Transformational Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training

Yoga as Art meets Yoga as Science in this 6 month Yoga Alliance approved training with a focus on the therapeutic and healing nature of the practice. We will fully examine the postures to create alignment and ease in our bodies and that of our students to facilitate transformation in teachers and students alike. You will graduate prepared to teach informed yoga classes ranging from gentle and therapeutic to sweaty and exhilarating with experiences and knowledge of everything in between.

Testimonials

“Michelle’s Yoga Teacher Training is truly transformational, for the body, mind and soul. She shares her wealth of knowledge and love for the practice with enthusiasm, from a place of pure authenticity, challenging you to discover your own unique strengths, and unlocking potential you never imagined was hidden within. Her unique curriculum is flexible, offering opportunities to explore those paths that interest you most, and learn from other fabulous teachers as well in a supportive, nurturing environment.

This course provided me with not only a treasure trove of tools and knowledge to help me teach yoga in a way that truly honors each individuals body, but also a deeper connection to self, inner strength, confidence and an unexpected journey of self discovery. I am a happier, healthier, stronger woman with newfound vitality, open to the endless opportunities of each new day.”

— Alison Arendt, Thai Massage Therapist and Mother of three

Shamanic Healing“Having a private shamanic healing practice of my own, I was looking for a way to increase my skill set as well as integrate the physical body in the healing of the whole in a deeper way. Michelle’s idea of ‘yoga as therapy’ was what first caught my eye.

As I dug deeper into the program and compared it to others, what I found was a meticulously organized yoga teacher training program. Michelle has designed the program to include required classes as well as offering flexibility in the elective courses. This allows me to choose what information will work best with my shamanic practice as well as what will enhance my own yoga practice.

Her teaching style is a beautiful intermingling of the intellectual and kinesthetic, so that while your mind works to wrap around new information, your body is getting used to feeling where it lives. The program combines honest interactions, authentic instruction, in a sacred and challenging environment in which to learn.”

Tiffany Taves, President of TST Design

“This yoga teacher training is more than a training, it’s a journey of Self that will transform you from the inside out. I’m not just a yoga teacher now, I’m a saner, sweeter, stronger human being. Michelle Fleming will challenge you to be the best you can be–and you’ll surprise yourself by meeting that challenge in ways you never dreamed possible.”

Paula Munier, co-author of 5-Minute Mindfulness and founder of Still Breathing Yoga

“Not being new to the energetic spiritual world, I have been doing massage, Reiki, and other modalities for eleven years and knew I didn’t want to settle just anywhere to learn to teach Yoga. As an experienced student for over twenty years, I felt very comfortable with how much knowledge I had about Yoga. Not I realize after being in Teacher Training class that there is so much more to learn than I ever imagined.

I chose Sanctuary Studios because of their therapeutic approach to Yoga. Teacher and owner Michelle Fleming is so dynamic and knowledgable, not only about Yoga, but also in her command of the human body. She is able to zone in on each person and correct misalignments on them while they are in their postures, to prevent injuries and keep them safe. This is key in releasing emotional holding patterns, as well as strengthening the physical body. This combination of Yoga and body mechanics is what she calls Transformational Yoga. It brings you to a higher state of consciousness and clarity and a wonderful sense of well-being. The staff is great and very helpful, and there are inspiring workshops being offered. This is why in my estimation Sanctuary Studios is one of the finest Yoga studios around. I would highly recommend trying a class. You will not be disappointed!

What a blessing to be in her teacher training class. I feel she exceeds my expectations!”
